General donation to the association
Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of Clean Planet Foundation. Clean Planet Foundation will not accept any gift unless it can be used or spent in accordance with the purpose and mission of Clean Planet Foundation.
No irrevocable gift, whether direct payment or life income, will be accepted if, under reasonable circumstances, the gift would jeopardize the financial security of the donor.
Clean Planet Foundation will not provide advice on the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek advice from their own professional advisors to assist them in the process of making their gift.
Clean Planet Foundation will accept gifts of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of Hippo-Energy.
Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, gifts in kind, illiquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is otherwise restricted, must be reviewed prior to acceptance because of the special obligations incurred or liabilities they may pose to Clean Planet Foundation.
Clean Planet Foundation will provide donor acknowledgements that meet tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, with the exception of cash gifts and publicly traded securities, no value will be attributed to any receipt or other form of evidence of a gift received by Clean Planet Foundation.
Clean Planet Foundation will honor the donor’s intent regarding gifts for restricted purposes and the donor’s desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, Hippo-Energy will limit donor information to only those personnel who have a need to know.
Clean Planet Foundation will not compensate, whether through commissions, finder’s fees or otherwise, any third party for directing a donation or donor to Clean Planet Foundation.
